About the store and the books
What is DaveArmstrongBooks.store?
It’s the direct digital store for Dave Armstrong’s books on Catholic apologetics. Every paid title gives you the full book in three digital formats — PDF, EPUB, — for one price. We sell only Dave Armstrong’s own work; we don’t carry other authors.
Who is Dave Armstrong?
Dave Armstrong is a Catholic apologist and author, on the web since 1996. He converted from evangelical Protestantism in 1991 and has written more than fifty books on Catholic doctrine, biblical apologetics, the Church Fathers, John Henry Newman, the Reformers, and related topics. His blog Biblical Evidence for Catholicism runs at patheos.com/blogs/davearmstrong.
Why don’t I see [a specific Dave Armstrong book] here?
A few of Dave’s books are under contract with traditional publishers (Sophia Institute Press, TAN Books, Catholic Answers Press, others) and can’t be sold directly. We list those on the site with a “Buy from publisher” link so you can find them, but the publisher handles the sale.
A handful of older or translated titles may still be in production for this store. Check back, or contact us if you’re looking for something specific.
Do you sell paperbacks or hardcovers?
No — DaveArmstrongBooks.store is digital-only. For many of Dave’s books you’ll find a “Also available in paperback on Amazon →” link on the product page. That goes to the print edition where one exists. We don’t print, store, or ship physical books ourselves.

Files and reading
What two-files do I get with each purchase?
- PDF — universal, looks the same on every device, ideal when layout or footnotes matter
- EPUB — for Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Nook, Kindle, and most other e-readers; text resizes to your screen
- EPUB — Amazon Kindle format, for Kindle devices and the Kindle app
You get all three with every paid purchase, for one price. Free books deliver the same two formats.
Which file should I use?
- Kindle device or Kindle app → EPUB
- iPhone, iPad, or Mac (Apple Books) → EPUB
- Android (Google Play Books) → EPUB
- Kobo, Nook, or other e-reader → EPUB
- Computer or any browser, fastest option → PDF
The full per-device walkthrough is in How to Read Your Books.
What’s DRM and do these books have it?
DRM is “digital rights management” — software that restricts what you can do with a file you’ve bought. Our books are DRM-free. You can read them on every device you own, back them up, and keep them as long as you want. We deliver this way because it’s how we’d want to buy books ourselves.
Can I print pages from the PDF?
Yes, for your personal use. Print a chapter for a Bible study, mark up an argument, share a page with a friend in conversation. What’s not allowed is printing copies for sale or wide distribution. See Terms of Service for the full license.

Buying, prices, and payment
How much does each book cost?
Paid books are $9.99 for the full 2-file bundle (PDF + EPUB). Whether the book is 150 pages or 400, the price is the same. A few books are free — usually because Dave released them with no contract or because they’re shorter reference works he’s chosen to give away.
Why is every book the same price?
It keeps the decision simple. You don’t have to weigh whether Bible Proofs for Catholic Truths (332 pages) is “worth more” than Faith Alone (345 pages) than Mere Christian Apologetics (289 pages). They’re all $9.99. Buy what you want to read.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe, or PayPal. Both are standard secure checkouts. We never see or store your card number.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. The whole site runs on HTTPS / TLS encryption, payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal directly (both PCI-compliant), and we never store payment details on our servers.
Do you charge sales tax?
We collect sales tax where U.S. law requires it (varies by state). Tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm.
Can churches, schools, or study groups buy in bulk?
Yes — but with a license tweak. The standard $9.99 license is single-user. If you want to put a book on a shared library tablet for a Bible study, or distribute it to a Confirmation class, that’s a different license. Contact us with the situation and we’ll figure it out — usually a simple custom invoice.

Downloads
How fast will I get my books?
Right away. After your payment is confirmed (usually seconds), the “Order Completed” email arrives with download links for each file in your order. You can also access them anytime via My Account → Downloads on the site.
How long do my download links work?
30 days from purchase, with up to 5 downloads per file. If you need fresh links after that, sign in to your account and re-download — your library stays in My Account → Downloads indefinitely.
What if I lose the email or the link expires?
Sign in to your account, go to My Account → Downloads, and grab fresh links. If you bought as a guest without creating an account, use the “Lost order?” link on the support page with your order number and we’ll re-send.
What if a file is broken or won’t open?
Email us at service@davearmstrongbooks.store with your order number and a brief description of what’s happening (which file, which device, what error). We’ll resend a fresh copy. If the file is genuinely corrupted, we refund — see Refund Policy.
Can I share my files with a friend?
We trust you to handle that with judgment. Sharing a book file with one close friend or family member is the kind of thing we expect among readers — we’d do the same. Wider distribution — uploading to forums, sharing in groups, posting on file-sharing services — isn’t authorized and threatens whether we can keep selling DRM-free. If a friend likes Dave’s work, point them at the store.

Refunds and support
What’s your refund policy?
The short version: digital books are non-refundable after download (we can’t take a file back from your device), but we refund:
- Wrong file delivered
- Corrupted or broken files
- Duplicate charges
- “Bought by mistake, haven’t downloaded” requests within 14 days
Email service@davearmstrongbooks.store with your order number. Full details in the Refund Policy.
Why can’t I get a refund after downloading?
Because once a digital file is on your device, the transaction is complete — there’s no way for us to retract it. This is universal across digital-book sellers (Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, etc., all work the same way). If something’s genuinely broken, write to us; we make those right.
Should I open a dispute with PayPal or my card company first?
Please email us first. A dispute opens a formal process that’s slower and more expensive for everyone, including a temporary suspension of your account while it’s worked out. We’d much rather just fix the problem directly — usually it takes one email.

Sharing, licensing, and copyright
What can I do with a book I’ve bought?
Read it on every device you own. Back it up. Print pages for personal use. Quote it in reviews, articles, sermons, classes, or social posts with attribution.
What can’t I do?
Resell or sublicense the files. Post them publicly. Upload to file-sharing sites or any cloud service that grants others access. Strip out cover art or copyright information. Use them as training data for AI models. Submit them to a print-on-demand service. Use them commercially without permission.
Full terms in the Terms of Service.
Are these books copyrighted?
Yes. All books on the store are copyrighted by Dave Armstrong (or by Dave plus co-author / translator where named). Your purchase grants a personal-use license, not a transfer of copyright.
Can I quote a book in a sermon, blog post, or academic paper?
Yes, within the normal bounds of fair use, with attribution. Cite the book title, the author (Dave Armstrong), and the page or section. If you want to quote at length for a commercial purpose, write to us first.

Free books, newsletter, and what’s coming
Which books are free?
The free section lists current free titles. As of launch, that includes Inspired!: 198 Supposed Biblical Contradictions Resolved, Justification: A Catholic Perspective (Dave with Francisco Tourinho), and others Dave has chosen to make available at no charge. You still go through the same checkout — your “order” is just $0.
Will signing up for the newsletter spam me?
No. The newsletter is for new book announcements, occasional articles, and the kind of update a reader actually wants. Unsubscribe is one click and we honor it immediately. You can opt in at checkout or via the signup form in the site footer.
Is Dave writing more books?
Yes. He’s been publishing steadily for thirty years and shows no sign of slowing. When new titles ship, they go up here first, and newsletter subscribers hear about them.
Will translations be available?
Spanish and French translations of select titles are already in the catalog (the Revelación / Révélation series and others). Portuguese editions exist but don’t have e-book versions yet. Other languages depend on translators stepping forward — if you’re a qualified translator interested in working with Dave, write to us.
